1. Overview

The Bulk Sync Power Automate Solution has been successfully exported as an unmanaged solution and can be imported into the target Microsoft 365 tenant using the Power Platform solution import process.

This guide walks you through the prerequisites, import steps, post-import configuration, and the licensing requirements needed to run the solution successfully.

What this guide covers

Everything from preparing your environment to verifying that the imported flow runs end to end. Work through the sections in order, then use the Validation Checklist to confirm everything is in place.

2. Prerequisites

Before importing the solution, ensure that the following requirements are met.

2.1 Dataverse environment

  1. The target Power Platform environment must have a Dataverse database provisioned.

Note: If a Dataverse database is not available, it can be set up during the import process.

2.2 User permissions

The user performing the import should have sufficient Power Platform permissions — preferably one of the following roles:

  1. System Administrator
  2. System Customizer
  3. Or equivalent permissions that allow solution import and customization.

2.3 SharePoint resources

The target SharePoint environment should contain the SharePoint site and list(s) referenced by the flow. For example:

Site URL

https://xyz.sharepoint.com

List Name

PA-SavedSearch-Control

Adjust these values to match your own environment.

2.4 Required connections

The importing user must be able to create and authorize the following connections:

  1. SharePoint connection
  2. Office 365 Users connection

3. Import Procedure

Follow these four steps to import the solution into your target environment.

Step 1 — Open Power Apps

  1. Navigate to https://make.powerapps.com.
  2. Select the target environment.

Step 2 — Open Solutions

  1. Go to Solutions → Import Solution.
Step 3 — Import the solution
  1. Upload the provided solution package.
  2. During the import process, map the connection references to the appropriate connections within the target tenant:
    1. SharePoint BulkSync
    2. Office 365 Users BulkSync

Step 4 — Complete the import

  1. Wait for the import to complete successfully before moving on to post-import configuration.

4. Post-Import Configuration

After the solution has been imported, configure the flow as follows:

  1. Open the imported solution.
  2. Open the cloud flow.
  3. Review all SharePoint actions.
  4. Update the following as required: Site Address and List Name.
  5. Save the flow.
  6. Turn on the flow.

5. Licensing Requirement

During validation, Microsoft reported the following warning:

The flow contains an HTTP connector, which Microsoft classifies as a Premium connector. As a result, the flow owner or service account must hold one of the following:

  1. Power Automate Premium license
  2. Power Automate Per User license
  3. Any Microsoft license plan that includes Premium Power Automate capabilities

Without a Premium license:

  1. The solution can still be imported successfully.
  2. The flow cannot be activated.
  3. Flow execution will remain disabled.

6. Validation Checklist

After configuration, verify each of the following items before considering the deployment complete.

Verification Item

Solution imported successfully

SharePoint connection created

Office 365 Users connection created

SharePoint site URL updated

SharePoint list configured

Flow saved successfully

Flow activated successfully

Premium license assigned (if HTTP connector is used)

Test execution completed successfully
